Basic surgical techniques, the so-called fundamental manual skills necessary to perform surgery, have particular importance in the professional training of all surgeons. A surgeon should acquire and constantly maintain competence to ensure a high level of skill. And they can do it through learning, developing and practicing new the latest surgical techniques. Simulation-based learning can help master procedural skills in a simulated environment but not through operating on a live patient.

To date, simulation training in surgery has become mandatory all over the world.

Teachers of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographical Anatomy invite you to join our simulation-based training programme to improve the basic suturing techniques on the simulator and to practice them on the biological tissue.

For those doing a six-year programme in General Medicine concurrent Mastery is in your hands and "Hic locus ubi mortui docent vivos": through Anatomy to Surgery  programmes are available (See a special offer for the special surgical training programme).

The cost of training of this program is 11,000 rubles.
NOTE: The cost of accommodation, travel, meals and medical insurance incurred by the participants is not included in the tuition fees.

July 19.     The lecture "Desmurgy is the doctrine of surgical dressings and methods of their application". Workshop.

July 20.     The lecture "Suture materials in surgery". ‘Manual techniques of knot-tying’ workshop.

July 21.    The lecture "Types of sutures. Indications for suturing’. Skin suturing techniques workshop.

July 22.    The lecture "Vascular surgery". ‘Manual vascular suture by Karrel, Morozova and Polyantsev’ workshop.

July 23.    The lecture "Tendon sutures".  ‘Tendon sutures by Kuneo, Kessler, Brown and Bier on the simulator and the biological tissue’ workshop.

July 24.    The lecture "Intestinal sutures". ‘Intestinal anastomoses technique on the simulator and the biological tissue’ workshop.
